Here’s my short bio:

In 1982, while studying law and languages at the University of Auckland, I committed my life to Jesus. Together with my wife, Elizabeth, I have been involved in lay pastoral ministry and discipling Christians in various forms for three decades.

I earned a Graduate Diploma in Applied Theology through Carey Baptist College, Auckland, in 2014. I have a special interest in expository Bible teaching and preaching.

I work as a mediator and conflict resolver. I am a panel member and the administrator of Resolve-Christian Resolution, which offers dispute resolution and conflict training with a Biblical basis to Christians in all walks of life.

I trained in commercial mediation with the late David Newton of The Accord Group, in Sydney in 2005, and was an accredited mediator with LEADR NZ 2006-2009. From 1986 to 2009, I practised law as a solicitor, in commercial and property law, specialising in franchising. I trained in Christian dispute resolution through Resolve (Christian Service for Disputes Resolution) Inc during my 10-year stint with well-known Auckland law firm, Gaze Burt Lawyers. I have also completed further mediation training with Resolution Institute and am an Associate member of that professional body.

From 2009-2021, I was the New Zealand Director of Mission Without Borders, an international Christian charity working among the poor in six countries in Eastern Europe.

My wife and I have two adult sons. For fitness, I enjoy jogging, walking and cycling, and for recreation, tramping and hiking especially in the New Zealand bush and mountains.
